چکیده

The detection of BRAF V600E immunoexpression in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is extremely important because its association with poor prognosis. Is prognosis really associated all histological variants carcinoma? To contribute to this elucidation, using the mutation-specific antibody, present study was performed determine between and clinicopathological variant groups PTC. Tumour tissue samples collected from 95 patients cancer tumour size <3.5 cm diameter were processed by routine microscopic technique Ventana Benchmark XT automated stainer. group aggressive directly proportional lymph node distal metastasis (p=0.005) contrast favourable group. Finally, nodal (poor prognosis) PTC can be better predicted when combining immunostaining conventional histopathological technique, conversely, these results could not achieved These findings suggest that a potential candidate for

Meta-Analyses of Association Between BRAF(V600E) Mutation and Clinicopathological Features of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma.

BACKGROUND/AIMS The function of BRAF V600E as a prognostic biomarker continues controversial by reason of conflicting results in the published articles. METHODS A systematical literature search for relevant articles was performed in PubMed, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar, Medline and Embase updated to August 5, 2015. The Chi-square test and I2 were employed to examine statistical heterogene...

BRAF V600E mutation and its association with clinicopathological features of papillary thyroid cancer: a meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND There is conflicting literature regarding the association of the BRAF V600E mutation and aggressive clinicopathological features of papillary thyroid cancer (PTC). Nevertheless, some propose that BRAF status be incorporated into the management of patients with PTC, specifically recommendations regarding lymph node dissection. We therefore performed a meta-analysis to examine the rela...

Association between the BRAF V600E mutation and ultrasound features of the thyroid in thyroid papillary carcinoma

The aim of the present study was to investigate the association between the BRAF V600E mutation and ultrasound features of the thyroid in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Fresh thyroid carcinoma tissue and paracarcinoma tissue were obtained from 34 patients undergoing surgery for PTC. The BRAF V600E mutation was detected by PCR amplification and direct DNA sequencing. The thyroid ultrasound r...

Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis and BRAF V600E in papillary thyroid carcinoma.

It has been reported that papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) with chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis (CLT) is less associated with extrathyroidal extension (ETE), advanced tumor stage and lymph node (LN) metastasis. Other studies have suggested that concurrent CLT could antagonize PTC progression, even in BRAF-positive patients. Since the clinical significance of the BRAF mutation has been particul...

Papillary microcarcinoma in comparison with larger papillary thyroid carcinoma in BRAF(V600E) mutation, clinicopathological features, and immunohistochemical findings.

BACKGROUND Papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PMC; <or=1 cm) is thought to take a benign course during the lifetime. However, recent studies showed high recurrence rates for PMC. METHODS We analyzed the clinicopathological features, long-term prognosis, and some molecular characteristics including BRAF(V600E) mutation by retrospectively reviewing the records of 1150 patients with papillary thy...
